The Sacramento Valley Museum in Williams is located in the old high school, built in 1911, with 27 rooms. Historic exhibits of life in Sacramento Valley from the mid-1800s to the 1930s are featured. The rooms include an apothecary, a kitchen, an old-fashioned general store, and documents with deeds signed by various United States presidents.

This farming operation is a small family-owned operation right in Williams. Since beginning the lavender adventure, they have grown from a small, locally known business to a business that is recognized all over the United States for true and pure lavender products. They have been featured in Sacramento Magazine, Ag-Ventures, The Rancher Magazine, as well as the Chico Enterprise-Record, the Central Sacramento Valley Resource Conservation & Development Newsletter, and in other local news articles. Ornbaun-Gibson Ranch is a peaceful, old ranch consisting of about 50 acres with a 5,600 square foot Victorian home, some beautiful old barns, and several outbuildings. They are currently in the process of renovating the home which is 130 years old.

The Delevan National Wildlife Refuge is one of six refuges in the Sacramento Refuge Complex in the Sacramento Valley of north-central California. The 5,797-acre refuge is approximately 80 miles north of Sacramento and consists of over 4,500 acres of intensively managed wetlands and 1,200 acres of uplands. Approximately 7,000 people hunt on the refuge each year and an estimated 1,000 visitors observe wildlife from a primitive roadside overlook along the Maxwell-Colusa Highway.

The reservoir lies along a migratory corridor between California's Central Valley and the Coastal Range. Birders may see substantial movements of warblers and other neo-tropical migrants in late April/early May and in September. With a 25-mile shoreline, East Park Reservoir has a thriving population of warm-water fish, including largemouth bass, smallmouth bass, catfish, crappie, and bluegill. Good fishing year-round. Ideal bass fishing in the autumn months! Good boat launching areas with excellent shore accessibility (no boat ramps). The west end of the lake is open year-round.

Sacramento Wildlife Refuge
The 10,783-acre refuge consists of about 7,600 acres of intensively managed wetlands, uplands, riparian habitat, and vernal pools. It typically supports wintering populations of more than 600,000 ducks and 200,000 geese. The refuge supports several endangered plants and animals, including transplanted colonies of palmate-bracted bird's-beak, several species of fairy shrimp, vernal pool tadpole shrimp, giant garter snake, wintering peregrine falcon, bald eagle, and breeding tricolored blackbird. Resident wildlife includes grebe, heron, blackbird, golden eagle, beaver, muskrat, black-tailed deer, and other species typical of upland and wetland habitats. Approximately 9,000 people hunt on the refuge each year, and 73,000 people use the visitor center, auto tour route, and walking trail. More than 95 percent of the wetlands of the central valley have been lost in the last 100 years, and waterfowl have become increasingly dependent upon the refuges of the Sacramento Valley.

Stony Gorge Dam, Orland Project completed in 1928 is on Stony Creek about 18 miles downstream from East Park Dam and 5 miles west of Fruto in western Glenn County. The dam is a concrete slab and buttress structure with a height of 139 feet and a crest length of 868 feet. Visit this warm-water fishery with an 18-mile shoreline and excellent boating and shoreline accessibility.
