Northern California's Farm Animal Sanctuary

Learn more about factory farming and food animal production at this unique animal refuge that helps educate visitors, protect at-risk farm animals and rescue them from neglect and abuse. Visitors can enjoy a tour, where they can learn more about commercial farming practices and vegan living, peruse the gift shop, volunteer to help, and meet the cows, pigs, chickens, turkeys, and sheep that all live at the farm.

Open Saturdays from 10am-4pm, and on other select days and times.

Price -

Adults, $5; children under age 12, $3. Children under age 3 enter free.

Tours

Enjoy a guided visit to the Farm Sanctuary, where you’ll stroll the grounds and meet hundreds of rescued farm animals like cows, pigs, turkeys, and more. Learn about the factory farming industry and, browse through the farm shop for cruelty-free gifts and souvenirs after your tour. Guided tours are offered on specific dates throughout the year. Tours are offered at 11am and 2pm and the gift shop will be open one hour before and after the tours.

Visitors Center

Learn more about the factory farming industry, food animal abuse and other farm animal issues at the education center. The center’s gift shop offers a wide range of vegan cookbooks, animal rights literature, cruelty-free gifts, vegan snacks, and more. Visitors are welcome from 10am-4pm on Saturdays, and before or after guided tours offered on select dates throughout the year.

FAQs

  • Are pets allowed on the farm?

    Pets are not allowed on the farm. Leashed dogs are welcome in the visitors center, but may not be left unattended during your visit.
  • How to get involved?

    Visitors can volunteer for a day, a week or longer and help with feeding the animals, cleaning and maintaining shelters, educational outreach, and working with other volunteers.
